Tanzania: Celebrities to Inspire Youth Through 'Ishi Kistaa' Project

FANS of Bongo Flava, Hip-hop and Bongo movies will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and even work with their favourite stars following the launch of 'Ishi Kistaa' -- a platform that seeks to inspire and change people's lives through their favourite celebrities.
The campaign was launched last weekend by Vodacom Tanzania in partnership with Green Telecom, an innovative mobile solution provider making it another first from Vodacom.
Some of the stars who graced the launch were Dully Sykes, Mwasiti, Izzo Business, Rich Mavoko, Barnaba, Linah Sanga, Shilole, Joh Makini, Nikki wa Pili, Aika, Nahreel, Nuh Mziwanda, Queen Darleen, Ditto, Msami, Baraka the Prince, Young Genius, Meninah and Ruby.
Apart from meeting with the star of their dreams, fans stand a chance to win many prizes during the contest such as wireless routers and mobile handsets. For the grand prize, the winner will join the stars in a glitzy yacht party. "It is everyone's dream to meet a celebrity who has been influential to their life.
Now they will have the opportunity to not only meet them in person but to record a song with them and learn from them," said Vodacom Tanzania's Communications Officer Glory Mtui.
"Our goal has always been to connect with our subscribers on a personal level and this platform provides an opportunity for Vodacom to engage the youth through our brand by creating magical moments in their lives and bring their wildest dreams to life. We are proud to be part of this life changing and entertaining project."
Thirteen stars will be featured in the project. They include Linah, Shilole, Joh Makini, Msami, Ben Pol, Mwasiti, Barnanba, Bob Junior, Mabeste, Kajala, Rich Mavoko, Irene Uwoya and Rachel.
