DStv to broadcast EPL in Kiswahili
Multi- Choice Tanzania Chief Executive Officer, Maharage Chande said yesterday in Dar es Salaam that DStv will bring to Tanzanian football fans who are said to be fanatics of the EPL through its SuperSport channels and this time they will have live matches broadcast in Kiswahili.
“The eagerly awaited English Premier League (EPL) kicks off this weekend and I’m pleased to announce that now, Tanzania football fans will have the opportunity to witness the league matches broadcast in Kiswahili by pressing the key language and select Swahili and they will have commentary on the language they are used to,” said Chande.
He also said that through SuperSport channels, football fans will have the opportunity to watch at least 300 live EPL matches across Africa from August 13 to May 21 next year and in this new seasons, there are many things to cheer up as matches will be played throughout the weekend.
“We are expecting football fans will have busy and entertaining weekends after EPL kick off this weekend, which will be followed by the kick off of the Spanish ‘La Liga’ on August 19,” he said, adding that they are plenty to enthuse from the two leagues and others which will follow, including the Champions League and Europa League.
To enable many local football fans to have access to EPL, DStv has lowered a bit the monthly subscriptions of their DStv Compact package to 85,000/-, whereby people will enjoy EPL and La Liga through SuperSport 11 and 12 respectively.
DStv has ensured that no DStv football fan will miss out the football actions as there will also be extensive football action from around the globe via the SuperSport website as well as the new SuperSuper app both which offer extensive live streaming as well as video highlights.
