Magufuli begins Mwanza tour

Briefing reporters on the visit here yesterday, the Mwanza Regional Commissioner,Mr John Mongela, said the president will be arriving from Geita Region where he was on short vacation.

Mr Mongela said the president will arrive in Sengerema District today morning where among other business; he is scheduled to address a public rally before proceeding to Mwanza City on the same day.

“While in Mwanza on Thursday, Dr Magufuli will lay a foundation stone on the flyover construction project just around Furahisha Street as well as inspecting the construction of the 2-kilometre Ghana- Airport Road, which is being built under his own instructions,” the RC said.

Tomorrow evening, Dr Magufuli will address a rally at the Furahisha Grounds in which he is expected to speak on a number of issues of public and nation’s interest.

“He is also expected to touch on other local issues that have created public debate here, one of them being the embezzlement of resources and eventual disbanding of the Nyanza Cooperative Union (NCU) top leadership”, hinted the RC.

Mr Mongela said the regional leadership will brief the president on the implementation of his different directives. The president will end his tour and jet off to Dar es Salaam on Friday morning.
